Happy Saturday! To make the weekend even more interesting, Team Aretuza is bringing an update to our Meta Snapshot #13! Gwent, while not receiving a patch as of yet, is still seeing an evolving meta. With 5 new decks, updated decklists for many others, and tier changes (see our changelog), our Snapshot aims to provide an accurate reflection of what you’ll likely see on ladder at the moment. As always, decklists, guides, and tech choices are included in each deck description. You can find the Snapshot here.

As the meta progresses, new lists have emerged in the Season of the Wild Hunt, especially focusing on Radeyah and giving life to forgotten leader abilities like Call of Harmony and Lockdown. There are no significant changes for Skellige, while Monsters are once again proving themselves to be the greediest faction.

Team Aretuza and Team Nova have been hard at work to bring you an update to our Meta Snapshot consisting of 7 new decks and minor adjustments to represent the current Gwent meta. You can find the Snapshot here.

Now that the Season of Mahakam is underway, Team Nova and Team Aretuza have once again been working hard to analyse the state of the meta and provide you with an accurate and up-to-date Meta Snapshot to use and share, particularly with all of our new iOS friends! The meta remains largely unchanged from Season of the Cat, but we’ve taken the opportunity to update some of the already existing decks and adjust tier positions according to how we feel decks perform overall. In addition, we’ve added 4 new decks to the snap, with Monsters, Nilfgaard, Northern Realms and Scoia’tael all gaining access to one new deck each at the start of the new season. As always, you can find the current Meta Snapshot here.

Though he's been present at every single official Gwent Masters tournament, and certainly never lacks something to say over the course of a tournament weekend, we've never had much of a chance to catch McBeard’s view on events outside of the commentary chair. That is, until now. During the run up to Gwent Challenger #5, Team Aretuza's Lothari, RyanGodric and Elis found some time to chat with the legendary caster about the journey he's taken with Gwent as an esport, the stand out moments from the Gwent Masters season so far and much more...

Over the course of the Gwent Challenger #5 event, Team Aretuza content creators Lothari, RyanGodric and Elis worked hard to bring you more insight into what really makes a Gwent Challenger tournament. In the run-up to the weekend, this included catching up with Ash, McBeard, Flake, Jaggerous and Panda to get their views on proceedings.

Continuing our expansion into Dota Underlords, Team Aretuza can today announce the addition of another top-tier Lord of White Spire to our pro player roster. Jordenjorden is a Singaporean Underlords player who has already had a massive impact on the game, providing the community with excellent meta snapshots as well as qualifying for the Allied Esports Boardbattles main event alongside NinjaNinjaNinja and Sergi2Vamos.

Jordenjorden has been quick to share his wealth of knowledge with our other Underlords players and we’re incredibly happy to have him on the team.

The Aretuza Open Cup has concluded and we would like to congratulate InNomineSatanas on their victory, and for securing a place in the European Gwent Collective’s Top 32 playoff later this year. We’d also like to congratulate Santtu2x for achieving another top 2 finish and 한쿡은조흔나라 for qualifying for the playoffs in third place.

A new leader and 256 balance changes later, Gwent's 3.1 Patch left the game as much as the player base shaken. Team Aretuza's content creators Green Cricket, Lothari, RyanGodric, shinmiri2 and Zade have come together at the beginning of the month to bring you some deck ideas to soothe your wait for our Meta Snapshot.

Gwent's latest patch, Update 3.1, has introduced some massive changes to the game, including a small but important rework of Northern Realms, seen as the weakest faction since Gwent's launch. That rework has come with some new keywords and tweaks to how old mechanics and keywords work, so Lothari and SwanDive have been hard at work making sure the Aretuza Academy Glossary is up to scratch with the latest changes!

Team Aretuza is excited to announce another amazing addition to our roster, Zade! Although Zade has only begun streaming this year, he’s already stood out among many other new streamers to find a place here at Team Aretuza. While Gwent is a massive part of his stream schedule, he also finds time to play other games and makes it a point to connect with his follower base in a genuine and fun way. He’ll also be contributing to our content production! Welcome to the team, Zade! We’re all excited to have you here!

In our second update of the month, we’ve added five more decks to our Meta Snapshot, including Crach Scorch, Eithné Control, King of Beggars Tributes, Portal Arachas Queen and Shupe Bran. In total, the Snapshot now has 25 decks for you to enjoy! Happy laddering! Furthermore, we’ve also optimized some deck lists and deck descriptions as well as made a bunch of tier changes. Syndicate has quickly established itself in the Gwent meta, but after such a momentous shift, we’ve taken some extra time this month to make sure we’re on top of things! After a small delay, Team Aretuza and Team Nova have now released the latest edition of the Meta Snapshot, where you can find 15 of the most up-to-date meta decks from across all factions, including 3 from the up-and-coming Syndicate!

We are incredibly happy to announce that Callonetta has joined Aretuza as our PR Manager! With a wealth of experience in publishing and editing, Callonetta will not only head up social media but also contribute to content creation. Welcome to the team, Cal! We’re all excited to have you on board!

Gwent players from across the world have all flocked to Novigrad, where the Syndicate reigns supreme. The update has added over 90 cards to the game, and with the streets of Novigrad being steadily explored, Team Aretuza’s content creators Argeiphontes, Green Cricket, Lothari and RyanGodric have been looking at deck ideas using the new Syndicate leaders.

The Novigrad expansion is upon us, introducing Gwent players everywhere to a handful of new keywords and mechanics that might, at first, seem unclear. No fear! Lothari and SwanDive have been hard at work, updating the Aretuza Academy Glossary to include all of these and more to make sure everyone can go into the new expansion with as much understanding as possible.

We're incredibly pleased to announce that Elis has joined Aretuza as our in-house Graphic Designer. With tonnes of experience in the field, Elis has already been a tremendous help in our rebranding process and we are all very excited to work with her moving forwards. We're all happy to have you, Elis! Welcome to the team!

The User Experience Update may not have tipped the balance of power much, but tweaks to provision cost and power level still leave many decks in need of adjustment now the Season of Magic is underway. In record time, Team Aretuza and Team Nova bring you the first update to come to the Meta Snapshot this month, adjusting 10 decks to better represent their current form and slight adjustments to tier positioning. As always, this is just the beginning, with more decklists being updated over the next couple of days and the teams already working to figure out which new decks should be included in the Snapshot as the season continues.

Now that the new starter decks are available, we’re pleased to release the next installment of Top Cards to Craft in the Aretuza Academy, focusing on Gwent’s all-important Base Set. If you’ve ever felt unsure, confused or overwhelmed about how to put your precious scraps to good use, look no further!  Recommendations for Neutral crafts as well as all 5 factions come from experts shinmiri2, JMJWilson23, Molegion and Santtu2x, curated by Lothari, to give you a better idea of how to spend your well-earned resources.

Having placed within the Top 3 at Wild Hunt 2, Argei has consistently achieved Top 100 on Pro Ladder/Pro Rank and has bountiful experience mentoring others in Gwent. With our new approach to the Meta Snapshot, Team Aretuza and Team Nova have continued to analyse what’s strong and what’s popular to bring you our largest Meta Snapshot to date with a whopping 33 decks for you to try on the ladder.

Welcome everyone to the latest Gwent Meta Snapshot presented by the masterchefs of Team Aretuza & Team Nova! We’ve been hard at work studying how the game has changed since the addition of the new leaders, and we’re now ready to share our results. We hope this collection of 29 meta-defining recipes, errr… decks will sweeten Gwent’s Season of Love for you.

Over nearly an hour, CD Projekt Red laid out a series of immediate and longer-term changes for Gwent, from a rework of the Nilfgaard faction to plans for a mobile version of the game. The Aretuza braintrust, particularly SwanDive, Lothari and JMJWilson, has been hard at work analyzing all the news and I'm here to put it all together in a Rapid Reaction.
