Card Type

A card’s type defines the general way in which it works.

A card’s type is the broadest way of describing a card by what it does. In Gwent, there are currently four card types: units, which provide card power, special cards, which proc an immediate ability; artifacts, which provide players with a different way to gain value; and stratagems, which are Order effects that start on the board and are available to the player going first in the first round.
