Nerfing

Decreasing the strength of a card compared to others in the same card pool.

If a card is overpowered in terms of value compared to the other cards in the card pool, it might receive a nerf to its card power, ability or an increase to its provision cost as a form of balancing. The opposite of nerfing is buffing.
