Homecoming

Formally "Gwent: Homecoming," a large-scale project in 2018 to renew Gwent ahead of its official release.

Homecoming was a project completed by CD Projekt Red before release of Gwent on PC on October 23, 2018 and on consoles on December 4, 2018, to revamp and revitalise the game after struggling development and misalignments with community expectation throughout Gwent’s beta. The project was set to focus on improving the game’s atmosphere, fixing underlying problems with the game’s mechanics and putting more agency on player skill.
